episode II of our series on C.S. Lewis' "The Abolition of Man"

In this episode we explain, as simply and carefully as possible, the rather formidable argument of what C.S. Lewis considered his most important book. "The Abolition of Man" debunks the debunkers. Traditional morality, he argues, is the only game in town; all attempts to deconstruct it and start anew (on supposedly 'rational' grounds) defeat themselves.

More than eighty years later, the case that he makes is becoming ever more influential — for we have now had ample time to witness the alternatives and their consequences. Even so, his conclusion chills the blood.
